Privacy Policy

Plain-language explanation of how we handle your data. Last updated .

Overview

Patchwork Sites (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is a web design brand operated by Virdis.io. We build custom websites for local small businesses and take your privacy seriously.

This policy describes what information we collect when you visit patchworksites.com, book a call with us, or reach out by email — and how we use, store, and protect it.

We don't sell your data. We don't run ad networks. We collect the minimum information needed to do our job.

Information We Collect

We collect information in two ways:

Information you give us

  • Name and email address (when you book a call or send us an email)
  • Business name and website URL (when you fill out our contact form)
  • Any details you share in a message or on a call

Information collected automatically

  • Pages visited and time spent on each page (via analytics)
  • Referring URL — where you came from before landing on our site
  • Device type, browser, and approximate location (country/city)
  • IP address (anonymized in analytics)

How We Use It

We use the information we collect to:

  • Schedule and conduct intro calls with prospective clients
  • Respond to inquiries and follow up on project proposals
  • Understand how people find and use our website so we can improve it
  • Send project-related communications to active clients

We will never use your contact details to send unsolicited marketing emails or add you to any mailing list without your explicit consent.

Cookies & Analytics

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to understand how visitors interact with our pages. We use Google Analytics with IP anonymization enabled. No personally identifiable information is sent to Google Analytics.

You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Most browsers also allow you to block or delete cookies in their settings.

We partner with Microsoft Clarity and Microsoft Advertising to capture how you use and interact with our website through behavioral metrics, heatmaps, and session replay to improve and market our products/services. Website usage data is captured using first and third-party cookies and other tracking technologies to determine the popularity of products/services and online activity. Additionally, we use this information for site optimization, fraud/security purposes, and advertising. For more information about how Microsoft collects and uses your data, visit the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

Data Retention

We retain your contact information for as long as we have an active or potential business relationship with you. If you were a prospective client who didn't move forward, we delete your information within 12 months of our last contact.

Client project files and communications are retained for up to 3 years after project completion for reference and warranty purposes, then securely deleted.
